Every student will have the opportunity to learn all of these things (and more).
Lessons are tailored to each individual so there is no pressure to take exams or learn rudiments if that doesn’t fit with the student’s needs .
A variety of teaching materials and books are used combined with Robbie’s own exercises to create a balanced musical learning experience.
The main focus of the lessons is to have fun making music!
The Studio
Robbie Gibson BMus(Hons), LRAM
Robbie is a professional drummer, percussionist, and educator with over 20 years of experience performing and teaching. He is currently the Percussionist for the groundbreaking live concert experience ABBA Voyage, where he performs alongside a live band in one of the most innovative music productions of recent years.
As a teacher, Robbie has worked with students of all ages and skill levels, from absolute beginners to aspiring professionals. He brings the same energy and precision to his lessons that he does to the stage, helping each student develop their unique voice behind the drums.
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, Robbie holds a performer’s degree and a teaching qualification (LRAM), and has built a diverse and accomplished career. He has toured internationally with hit West End productions including Mamma Mia!, Avenue Q, and Star Wars in Concert, and has played with leading orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
